In the process of creating the design for this temporary space, we attempted to create a dialog between the site, the city, and the culture of the society around it. Although the experimental nature of the site may be a little beyond practical social values, it has received some feedback from the public that was unexpected.

The design strategy intends to maximize the spatial sense when users walk in, since the area of the project is less than 650 square foot. By arranging the floor plan regard to the nature of the building structures, the design itself finds a solution of balancing between the program and circulation that reaches the basic living requirements of clients efficiently. The nature finish of materials strengthens the connection between interior and exterior environment.

Wei's Residence

The site itself is adjacent to a city park. The intention of the plan arrangement is to draw a significant view from the park and introduce more daylight into the central space of the house. In terms of the strategy of material use, the idea tries to reveal the essence of the material and let the space speaks for itself.
