Palais De Chine Hotel

Taipei, Taiwan

Due to the structure of the hotel and the limited available area, we strove to reduce the separation of spaces in guest rooms as much as possible, and the rooms are also fitted with custom-made, circular, cast-iron bathtubs. Sliding doors and panels create a general sense of openness, and are aimed at creating maximum effective use of space during the majority of the time the rooms are in use, while also molding usage models to the distinctive character of the site. The facilities and storage areas within the guest rooms are designed to meet the majority of expected usage demands, while every detail of the rooms aims to reflect the market value, efficiency of usage, and image and market placement of the hotel. The furniture design attempts to reflect a fusion of French and Chinese vocabularies, with a balance of forms, materials, and colors.

The arrangements of the vertical garden are integrated with Ecuadorian painters' creations and represents the same ideas with local agitations, which the vertical garden helps to filter the polluted air as well as purify the rain water as a bio filter.
